Birmingham Institute of Creative Arts

Visual Communication

Our School of Visual Communication students graduate with the skills to join industry and we are proud to exhibit their excellent work, the culmination of hard work and dedication at the end of a challenging year.

With an international reputation for design innovation, our multi-disciplinary environment has produced graduates who are critical thinkers, working with design and technology to evolve new creative practices.

Unrivalled industry partnerships with local and national employers and an inspiring city visual arts scene create opportunities for our students to develop their careers before they graduate. Live commissions have included an installation for the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall and an animation for the Ironbridge Coracle Trust.

You’ll find exceptional examples of photography, graphic communication, virtual reality, animations, and more exhibited for the Inspired Festival. Our 2021 graduates have faced extraordinary circumstances, supported by experienced, professional tutors, and we congratulate them and celebrate their achievements.
