I am Allanah Hudson, a BA Photography Student specialising in concert photography. I am currently working on my new project ‘Now That’s What I Call Brum Punk’ which focuses on Birmingham’s revival of Punk, while also being a piece that pays homage to my friends who are prevalent parts of the resurgence. Exploring narratives of nostalgia, I created the project as an ode to my love for Punk music and as a way of highlighting the talent that Birmingham has to offer. Replicating 80’s film aesthetic and Risogrgaph aesthetic, the images aim to induce nostalgia while remaining a product of the 21st century, I aim to showcase and highlight the revival and rebirth of Birmingham’s ever growing Punk scene. Aside from this project, I am in frequent attendance at concerts around Birmingham, photographing upcoming bands (most frequently Punk/Rock genre based), with some being international established bands, too. Music is one of my oldest and strongest passions, in the future I would like to be still doing music photography and will have hopefully turned it into my full time profession.
