Lauren Chloe is a documentary photographer based in the West Midlands. She is interested in the exploration of how photography has a capability to be more intimate. Lauren’s work explores storytelling, and the representation of rural hidden landscapes and the communities living therein, with the intention of sharing her experiences of the wonders of countryside living.
For her most recent work Lauren Chloe observed farmers Sandy and Wilma Napier and their life on a livestock smallholding in Leicestershire. Their loving devotion to their animals has kept them from retirement, despite recent farming challenges. When asked when they intend to stop working their answer is always, “when we are carried out in a wooden box”.
