Qingwen’s jewellery is inspired by the implicit beauty of oriental spirit. It reflects an appreciation of cosmic order and acceptance of inevitability, discovering the ‘greatness ’that exists in small and neglected details through essence.
Having lived in Emei Mountain, one of China’s four Buddhist holy places, for two decades, she has the essence of Eastern culture infiltrated into her life. Qingwen’s work explores the deconstruction and restructuring of natural materials, allowing viewers to feel the presence of the internal spirits of eastern culture by creating a partnership between the material and another medium. During the progress of her design development, she enjoys discovering the properties of a natural material, and mainly use pastel or earthy colour Palette to create wearable jewellery pieces.
She intends to convey the aesthetic concept of balance and build a bridge between eastern culture and contemporary jewellery.
