I was inspired by fairy tales. The original reason was that I wanted to find the joy of reading fairy tales in the first place and to find out why we still need fairy tales even when we are adults. In Jungian theory, fairy tales are the product of the spontaneity and innocence of the soul.
I chose the enduring symbol of the fairy tale, the flower, for my design. I would divide the impact of fairy tales on me into three directions; new life, expressing myself, and transcending myself. I used second-hand fairy tale books to create daisy flowers to represent new life. I combined uv resin and copper wire to create a rose necklace to express myself. Finally, I used fully transparent resin to create a crown of roses to show the invisible influence of fairy tales on us.
