I am interested in design that improves peoples lives and is pleasing to the eye. The balance of aesthetics and functionality within Scandinavian design is what I try to emulate in my own work. The entire process of developing an idea to a resolved physical product is what truly fascinates me.
Mobilia is a conceptual rollator design which aims to challenge the norm. Rollators are incredibly functional objects which provide extra stability whilst walking. But often they have a very medicalised and unappealing aesthetic which some users are embarrassed by. Taking inspiration from Scandinavian design, Mobilia celebrates the beauty of bent wood and clean lines. Hoping to restore confidence within the user and transform the rollator into a product to be proud of.
