Shan Chair - This is a design which talk about the value of personal boundaries which set boundaries and create some personal space for the users in order to let them refresh themselves and prepare for next social interaction

Problem Identify - Based on a deep understanding of privacy, the primary goal of my entire project is to give the user the freedom to control the boundaries and thus achieve more complete privacy. In addition, I hope to use this design to remind users of the importance of solitude. I hope users don't forget to accompany themselves in the busy society.

Design full look - Based on ergonomics, Shan Chair can give you a comfortable rest in the space it creates.

Design Detail - The screens on each side are made up of two overlapping rings. The outer ring is fixed to the chair and the inner ring can be rotated. User can rote the inner rings to make the chiffon ribbons intertwine whilst opening or closing the screen.

Design Detail - With the outer ring fixed in place, the rotating inner ring fitted with a comfortable leather handle allows the user to easily adjust the screen to suit their privacy needs.

Design Detail - Wooden components help stabilize the circular screens in a vertical position, even when rotated.

Inspiration - Inspiration came from the line sketch. staggered lines are userd to represent shadows. those lines are interlaced together, creating shadows while also bringing a sense of neatness to the whole sketch.

Colors - 3 colors are provided for this design. The colors are all picked from traditional Oriental ink painting. they are dark blue, atrovirens, and orange.

Manufacture - Bent wood craft brings a very smooth aesthetic to the whole design. Use birch wood with FSC chain of custody certified to ensure that those renewable materials are sourced in the most sustainable way.

Using Scenario - This chair can be fix into a board using scenario. The first using scenario is home, however, It can also blend very well with those place such as office and library.
