This is a project about myself and I want to show the audience everything about me in the form of jewelry. I used to try to understand myself through various personality and psychological tests, including color tests. On a deeper level of self-exploration, I questioned these test results, am I really who the test results say I am? I doubt it. It seemed to me that my world was supposed to be colorful, changeable, and spinning, and that test results could not be defined, so I tried to break the shackles of personality testing. The “I don’t Want You to Guess” series was born.
I recorded my colors. At rest, these colors represent only part of me; When rotated, these colors fuse together to form the complete me. This project provided me with a window into my true self, creating a unique and personal expression of my identity.
Through this project, I hope to challenge the limitations of personality tests and invite the audience to experience my real world, reflecting on myself while the audience understands me, taking into account the complexity and uniqueness of the self. One question for the audience: Do you really know yourself?
