Xinyue’s jewellery was inspired by the different nightmares she used to have as a child. growing up, the stresses of life and school were still with her. Especially in the post-epidemic period, there are also many such problems in society where people have nightmares because of stress and anxiety in their lives or work. So she wondered if there was a way to make my jewellery therapeutic and bring healing to people with anxiety and stress.
Xinyue positions herself between a contemporary jewellery designer and an artist. She starts by investigating poses, colors and tactile sensations that make people feel healed and uses these elements in her work. She defines the work as interactive jewellery in which the viewer can participate in a two-person interaction, and in participating in this interaction is the process of achieving healing. Soft materials are combined with flocked models to complete this series of works. The series is a reflection of the author’s thinking about different materials and her concern for people’s physical and mental health and her attempts to combine art with the goal of healing.
