Having great appreciation for traditional and digital printing processes, my final major project embraces a harmonious fusion of both techniques within designs.
‘Bijou Bloom’ directs focus to the contrasting qualities of fossilised corals, strong and untouched for millions of years, with the fragility of coral reefs facing extreme pressures of climate change.
The commercially focused interiors project offers a coordinated print collection intended for scatter cushions and wallpapers. Contrast and diffusion are used to explore changes in pressure and strength, with considered materiality and playful printing processes of devore, flock, puff, and reactive printing.
