Life of the lotus-Cassock - In this work I have taken the Buddhist symbolism of the robe as the garment of the lotus flower and combined it with light and shade to paint the cycle of the lotus flower from birth to death on this garment made of pieces of wood and white fabric. This shows the Buddhist interpretation of the lotus flower.

Life of the lotus-Sundial - Time is extraordinarily different in the life of the lotus, and the reason for it is perhaps that it keeps on going in the repetition of life and death, as it bears lotus seeds again after being born and dying. I hope that by changing the hands over time on this sundial they will then turn to point to the lotus seed, the lotus leaf, the lotus petal and eventually back to the lotus seed.

Life of the lotus-Reincarnation - In this piece I hope that the wearer and the viewer will be able to empathise with the piece and see the process of the lotus flower from bud to bud as the wearer's fingertips change under the projection of light.
